What We Believe

We believe God has called Cornerstone Family Church to be a Spirit-filled church, a bright, beckoning light in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area, and a church with a special heart for seniors. We are asking God to send us members, willing and eager to participate in the areas of their individual gifts to keep growing and improving this unique ministry. We strive in our outreach efforts to contribute not only locally and regionally, but also in countries around the world through the missions we support. More than anything else, we want to move in the direction God leads us.

WE BELIEVE:

  • In the inspiration of the Old and New Testaments.

  • In one Eternal God revealed in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

  • That Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and that His crucifixion made the provision for sinful men to be brought into fellowship with God.

  • In the bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ where He sits at the right hand of God interceding for the saints.

  • In the bodily return of Jesus Christ to judge the world.

  • In the Holy Spirit as the third person of the godhead and in His gifts that are present for us today.

  • In the reality of Satan and Hell for the unregenerate, and in Heaven, the blessed hope of those redeemed through the blood of Christ.

  • That man in his natural state is a sinner, lost and without hope of access to God except through the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • That because of the blood of Jesus Christ, salvation comes through repentance and a total submission to His Lordship.

  • That salvation is by grace and not by works.

  • In water baptism as commanded by Jesus for those who follow Him.

  • That believers should live their lives not according to the world, but according to the Word of God.

  • That divine healing was provided in the Atonement and is still readily available today.

  • That Church membership is a serious commitment between the leadership and the members, one in which the leadership provides spiritual oversight and protection, while the members respond with a spirit of cooperation and submission in the Lord.
